e.m.papers November Advent Workshops

My 'day job' is a printable stationery business called e.m.papers. Despite being kind of an introvert, I do like getting out from time to time and meeting people.

So for three Saturday's in November e.m.papers will offering 'Advent Cafes' in Munich at Glücksmaid. Take time for yourself to craft all of your Christmas paper goods in a fun, relaxed atmosphere with like-minded women.

There will be Prosecco, goodie bags, good music, healthy (and not so healthy) treats as well as all the materials you'll need to create everything from Advent calendars to handmade wrapping paper and Christmas cards and more.

Do your shopping, drop the kids at home, and join us for some fun 'me' time to re-charge and nurture your creative spirit.

The workshops will last from 15:00 -19:00. Each event is limited to 12 participants. You don't need to bring anything, just yourself and a festive attitude!

The workshop is €29 and will be confirmed if at least 4 people sign up (otherwise, I'll cancel and you'll get a refund)

Wiesn 2013

We arrived back in Munich after a five week visit to California the night before the last Wiesn Tag.
My husband scored a couple of tables in the Armbrustschützenzelt (which, in all honesty, I found to be kind of a ghetto tent, but hey who am I to complain?) so we mosied on over.

My main learning of the evening is that Armburstschütz means crossbow.

This was hanging on the wall of the tent chicken where the endless racks of rotisserie chickens are. Pretty funny.

These days, visiting once or twice is usually enough for me, and I usually don't stay until the end, but this time, I was able to ride my jet lag until the final final.

Pretty soon the Oktoberfest fairgrounds will look like this, and so will the weather, if we're lucky. It was hard leaving California.
